Lot One Kitchen
In the five years since it opened, Lot One Kitchen has emerged as one of the most popular venues on the Perth foodie scene.
Launched with a vision to create a café where Hillarys locals could catch up for coffee and something delicious to eat, their menu has something for everyone. So whether you fancy a light bite like toasted banana bread, or something more substantial like brisket benny, there are plenty of options available for the table.

Good Things Cafe
One of the hippest breakfast and brunch spots in Perth has to be the Good Things Café.
Located in Mosman Park, their mission is to serve a fantastic breakfast and exceptional coffee, and it’s something they do with considerable aplomb.
As you would expect there is a good range of healthy brunch options like polenta soldiers and the good vibes bowl on the menu. But if you fancy something a little bit more ‘comforting’ they also serve up an awesome cheeseburger and some delicious banana-nut hotcakes.
Their coffee, which comes from a local independent roaster called Micrology, is nothing short of outstanding.

Canvas Cafe
Found within the Fremantle Arts Centre, the Canvas Café is a delightful spot to have breakfast or brunch.
Set within a leafy, stonewall courtyard, it’s menu changes regularly but usually includes a mix of classics like the full English, and club sandwich, to more inventive Asian influenced dishes like ‘Gado Gado’, a mouthwatering crispy tofu, and curry laksa soup.
Known for its excellent service and wonderful coffee, this place really is a hidden gem.

Chu Bakery
Those wanting something sweet for breakfast or brunch should head over to Chu Bakery. You’ll find it in Highgate and when you do you will think you have stumbled into Heaven. Not least because it is chock full of the most exquisite selection of baked goods.
Showcasing alluring warm, flaky pastries, delightful almond croissants and rows of donuts, slices and cakes, prepare to be afflicted with cartoon eyes. While not sweet, their baked organic sourdoughs are fantastic too.
But if you are looking for a real decadent treat, check out their matcha yuzu ‘Chu’ puff, which is oozes delicious yuzu jelly.

Flora & Fauna
Another fabulous venue that serves Micrology coffee is Flora & Fauna.
A boutique café that is quietly tucked away in Northbridge it presents a delicious menu of vegetarian and vegan dishes, that is served up in a setting that features really cool retro wallpaper.
The food is very good here, so good that they have the confidence to regularly run ‘pay what you feel’ promotions.
Even if you are not hungry, this Perth café is worth coming to for the lovely mix of small gifts and flowers they also sell.

Petition
Located within the historic state buildings that feature on the corner of St Georges Terrace and Barrack Street, Petition is a buzzy corner café.
Priding itself on serving something good for everyone, this friendly, modern and stylish restaurant showcases a menu that changes throughout the day, whilst still championing the best of local and fresh produce.
Whilst it can get busy here, it’s definitely worth the wait because the food really is quite exceptional. If you want to make your brunch a boozier experience, they also have a fabulous range of wines and craft beers.

Finlay & Sons
A popular family-run café in Inglewood, Finlay & Sons is a laid-back and cosy venue that offers a fabulous selection of gluten free items and delicious coffee, which is provided to them by the Twin Peaks Coffee Roasters.
A dog-friendly establishment that presents a lovely alfresco setting, the menu is a mix of classics like avo smash and French toast, as well as more creative dishes like their aubergine burger and bibimbap.
One of the best things about this restaurant is that the vibe here is always warm and friendly. Its also table service too, which is always an added extra.

Hobart Deli
Looking for somewhere to take the kids? Then there are few better places than the Hobart Deli.
Situated over in North Perth, there is a playground directly across the road to entertain the children, whilst the childlike artwork which decorates the walls of the café should appeal to them too.
The menu caters to the whole family, with a nice mix of classics and more creative dishes to suit all tastes. Kids will love the range of milk shakes and juices that are available too, whilst there are a nice range of baked goods for those who fancy a sweet treat.

Small Print Baker & Coffee Maker
For a breakfast or brunch experience that delivers world-class coffee then you should definitely head to the Small Print Baker & Coffee Maker.
Sourcing beans from all over the world, this venue is known throughout Perth for serving the most amazing coffee. However this tends to overshadow the excellent range of food options they offer for breakfast and lunch too.
This includes the likes of zucchini and corn fritters, wild mushroom bruschetta and a wonderful range of waffles. They also do a mean burger and a fantastic brioche French toast as well.
