The Zeta Bar in Sydney CBD

If you ever find yourself in Sydney’s CBD in search of an exclusive cocktail bar for a catch up with friends or a wind-down session after work, then the Zeta Bar atop the Hilton Sydney might just be the place for you. The bar isn’t only known for its incredible interior design, but also for offering some of the most exotic and specialised cocktails in Australia and the world!

You’ll find curated drinks everywhere that have been developed by expert mixologists when you look at the Zeta Bar drink’s menu, so finding an Instagram-worthy drink won’t be too difficult at all. There’s a whole lot of style and whiffs of fog that will be exuding from just about every cocktail here, and when you pair that with the dark and mysterious tones of the bar, and you’ll feel as though you’re unwinding on a sci-fi style film set.

At 488 George Street, Sydney, the bar is about as centrally located as it gets, and that means getting anywhere else in the CBD is only a few minutes walk away. If you’re looking to head out to a night club, there’s not too far to walk, though we don’t think you’ll want to stray too far from Zeta Bar’s VIP Lounge.

A few minutes of online searching for the Zeta Bar will give you a glimpse into the bar’s exotic cocktail list. You’ll spot strange Coconut Grenades that emit a frosty fog while you drink them and a warmed Buttered Blazer which is arguably the best winter’s cocktail in NSW! There’s also the iconic ‘Gettin Figgy With It’ that’s a blend of Belvedere Pure and figs, sherry and walnut bitters.

The Vibe

The Vibe

If there’s just one way to describe the Zeta Bar, it’s that its an exclusive escape for anyone living or traveling to Sydney. The rooftop terrace is ideal if you’re looking to take a look over the city as you unwind, though the indoor lounge is the perfect space if you’d like that feeling of seclusion. You’re also transported from the Hilton Hotel below to the Zeta Bar in an all-glass elevator, one of the best bar experiences in Sydney, and you haven’t even stepped foot inside yet.

The bar is rather casual though with a minor formal flare, so you’ll be able to rest assured that the Zeta Bar is the ultimate space to take family and friends who aren’t too keen on wandering into a rowdy pub-like space. Frequent live music also helps keep the classy casual vibe going and being on the outdoor terrace will mean your view of Sydney is perfectly amplified by soft, lounge tunes.

There is an enforced dress code, though it’s as simple as no thongs, t-shirts, shorts or sneakers. Be sure to head out in your best classy casual outfits and you’ll fit right in here.

The Food

The Food

Although the Zeta Bar is an Australian marvel when it comes to cocktails atop the Hilton, it also offers great nibbles for those who’d like to stay a little longer than their hunger pangs would like. Keep in mind there are no full main course meals up here, though there are plenty of snacks and light meals for those interested.

A few fan favourites are the wagyu beef sliders, Korean fried chicken and shucked oysters. There’s also shoestring potato and a few other small bites like olives and halloumi for those not looking for too much.

Bookings and Reservations

Bookings and Reservations

We have some great news for those who love the Zeta Bar, and that is you’re able to book the space for private events and functions. You can create a booking for a massive 400 guests, which means get-togethers or celebrations of any size are certainly going to be on the cards here.

Reservations keep getting better too when you notice that both the indoor lounge and outdoor terrace can either be reserved as a whole space or a separate space. That means if you’d just like a quiet reserved zone, you can book a single section of the bar.
