The Obar in Sydney

If you’re one to take the journey more than 40 stories up the Australia Square tower, then a few drinks or dinner at the Obar on the 47th floor is going to be one of the best night’s of your time in Sydney! The bar offers unmatched views of Sydney and all of its attractions, and you’re not only taking in the view but a part of it as your wine and dine at over 100 metres above 264 George Street.

Owned by Michael Moore, the Obar is one of Sydney’s premier bars offering a formal atmosphere and an incredible fine dining experience that you simply can’t find anywhere else. All of the cuisines on the menu are tilted toward the healthy eating crowd, with little to no over-oily or heavily sugared meals, but rather vegan options and other healthy nibbles. There’s also a private dining room for those who’d like to make their experience here as tranquil and reserved as possible.

Make a reservation and enjoy the only place where opulent meals and beautiful views combine.

The Food and Healthy Eating Philosophy

The Food and Healthy Eating Philosophy

Of course, eating hundreds of meters in the sky has its perks, though Michael Moore’s food philosophy has also meant that you’re getting the healthiest meals amongst the clouds too. You’ll find a variety of healthy entrees such as seared scallops, duck leg, glazed salmon and so much more. For mains, you’ll have a variety of fish to choose from along with pork belly, wagyu, lamb rump and a whole lot more.

The dining experience here is also unmatched. The attentive wait staff are always ready to help and being so high up, you’re essentially looking down and out over Sydney as you eat with very little in the way of you, your table and the floor to ceiling windows. There’s nothing that quite compares to the panoramic views of Sydney you’ll find here.

One thing to keep in mind is that there’s a 7.5% service charge added to your bill as a staff gratuity.

That said, you can rest assured you’ll still be getting one of the most beautiful views with outstanding food even if you’re not dining at the Obar’s dining space.
